A day’s load
What actually goes in on a normal shift:
- Two large containers — the hot lunch and the second one you swore you’d stop packing
- A frozen pack on the far side of the divider
- Two drinks upright, or a thermos in the side pocket under the bungee
- Snacks and the extras in the front organiser
- A hoodie or rain layer on top, still room to zip
Still a 35L pack on the days you don’t pack food.
Keeping it cold
Drop a frozen pack in with your food and it’ll still be cold at last break. Two things buy you extra hours: pre-chill the compartment overnight, and keep the divider in so the cold sits against the food instead of the whole bag.
Questions
Will it actually stay cold all shift?
The whole main compartment is insulated — not a token cooler pocket bolted onto a backpack. Drop a frozen pack in with your food and it is still cold at last break. Going a full twelve? Pre-chill the compartment overnight and it starts the day ahead.
How much actually fits?
35 litres. In practice: two big containers, a couple of drinks, a frozen pack, and the extras — plus a layer on top. It is sized for a real lunch, not a snack.
What is the USB port for?
Charging without unpacking. You supply the power bank — it rides inside the bag and connects to the port on the outside, so your phone tops up while the bag stays shut. No battery included; use the one you already own.
Can I use it as a normal backpack?
Yes. The cooler compartment is the main compartment, so on a day you are not packing food it is simply a 35L pack with an organiser panel and a MOLLE front.

Description
Packed at six in the morning. By the time you get to it the sandwich is warm, the drink has sweated through the bottom of the bag, and you’re buying gas station food again. Every trades worker has thrown out a lunch they already paid for.
The main compartment on this pack is a full insulated cooler, with a removable divider so a frozen pack rides on one side and your food on the other.
Built for
- Ten and twelve hour shifts with no fridge on site
